Let X be an m-connected space with \(m\geq 1\) and n an integer such that 2m\(\geq n\geq 2\). The author proves that for these values of n if the n-th integral homotopy group of X is of finite exponent, then the n-th homotopy group of X is also of finite exponent. In addition, the author provides universal bounds on the exponent of this last homotopy group. The method of proof is an examination of the finite stages of the Moore- Postnikov tower for X.
