The paper is devoted to the study of the eigenvalue problem \[ \Delta u+\lambda e^ u=0\text{ in } \Omega;\quad u=0\text{ on } \partial \Omega, \] where \(\Omega\) is an annulus in \({\mathbb{R}}^ 2\). In particular, using variational approach with Lagrange multipliers the author is able to show that the above problem has nonradial solution for some values of \(\lambda\).
