The author who got acquainted with R. Fisher in 1946, retrospects some historical material about Fisher's paper ``The correlations between relatives on the supposition of Mendelian inheritance'' (1918), as well as the further development of this topic by Kimura, Ewens, and himself. This paper gives high praise to Fisher's book ``The genetical theory of nature selection'' and says that ``I regard this book as one of the greatest contribution to evolution since Darwin. Possibly the greatest.'' Some of Fisher's personal weakness is also pointed out.
