The authors study existence and regularity results for the solutions of problems whose prototype is \[ -{\mathcal Q}v= \beta(|v|)H(Dv)^q + \frac{\lambda}{H^o(x)^p } |v|^{p-2} v+f(x) \] where \(0<p-1<q\leq p<N\), \(\beta\) is a nonnegative continuous function and \(\lambda\geq 0\). Moreover, \(H\) is a general norm, \(H^o\) is its polar and \[ -{\mathcal Q}v=\sum_{i=1}^ N \frac{\partial} {\partial_{ x_i}} (H(Dv)^{ p-1} H_{\xi_i} (Dv)). \] Many Authors studied such kind of operators. The novelty of this paper relies on two main topics. First, using symmetrization techniques, the authors are able to fully analyze the interesting case \(q<p\). Second, by using a suitable symmetrization argument, the authors are able to prove sharper results.
