The dynamic behavior of the delay differential equation \[ x'(t) = f(x(t-1); a(\varepsilon \sin(\nu t), \varepsilon \cos (\nu t); \alpha) \tag{1} \] is studied, where \(\varepsilon,\nu,\alpha\) are real parameters, and \(a,f\) are \(C^{\infty}\)-functions satisfying appropriate assumptions. The existence of an attractive integral manifold with periodic structure is shown. Furthermore, a description of the flow on that manifold is given. This allows the authors to determine some sufficient conditions for the existence of sadle-node bifurcation.
