The authors deal with the problem \[ \begin{gathered} -\Delta u+ u= |u|^{p-2} u,\\ u\in H^1_0(\Omega),\end{gathered}\tag{1} \] where \(\Omega\subset\mathbb R^N\setminus\{0\}\) is an unbounded smooth domain such that \(\mathbb R^N\setminus\Omega\) is bounded, \(N\geq 3\), and \(2< p< 2^*:= {2N\over N-2}\). They adress the question of existence of sign changing solutions for (1). They prove the existence of a sign changing solution for (1), is an exterior domain having finite symmetries.
