Let \(Q_n (x_0)\) be a class of polynomials \(f(x)\) of degree \(n\) such that \(|f(x)| \leq 1\) for \(-1 \leq x \leq 1\) and \(f''(x_0)=0\). The maximum \(m_n\cdot n^2\) of \(|f'(x_0)|\) for \(-1 \leq x_0 \leq 1\) is attained if and only if \(x_0=\pm 1\), and \(f(x)\) satisfies the differential equation of Zolotareff. Furthermore, \(\lim_{n \to \infty} m_n\) and has the value 0.3124.
