The authors are concerned with a flow of a fluid through a single screen mounted in a rectangular channel. The fluid is considered Newtonian, and the flow is laminar and steady state one. A slip boundary condition is applied on the upper and lower boundaries of the channel. A finite element method based on Galerkin least squares scheme is applied using the COMSOL MultiPhysics 5.4 package. The numerical results are interpreted from the point of view of fluid mechanics. They seem to be correct, as can be seen from their comparison with some old analytical outcomes.
