The main theorem of this paper improves the result of \textit{V. Scheffer} [Commun. Math. Phys. 61, 41--68 (1978; Zbl 0403.35088)] by showing that certain weak solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations in four space dimensions are global-in-time, and the Hausdorff dimension of their singular sets is at most 2. More precisely, the author constructs weak solutions satisfying local energy inequalities, and shows that their singular sets are of finite 2-dimensional parabolic Hausdorff measure.
