For a compact Lie group \(G\) and a closed smooth \(G\) manifold \(M\), a non-singular real algebraic \(G\) variety \(X\) that is equivariantly diffeomorphic to \(M\) is an `algebraic model' of \(M\). To be a `strongly algebraic model', it is additionally required that all vector bundles over \(X\) are classified by entire rational maps to the equivariant Grassmannian with its canonical algebraic structure. There is a conjecture that any closed smooth \(G\) manifold has a strongly algebraic model. For the trivial group and without the `strongly', this was conjectured by Nash and proven by \textit{A. Tognoli} [Ann. Sc. Norm. Super. Pisa, Sci. Fis. Mat., III. Ser. 27, 167--185 (1973; Zbl 0263.57011)]. For cyclic \(G\), it is also known (see [\textit{K. H. Dovermann} and \textit{A. G. Wasserman}, Transform. Groups 25, No. 2, 483--515 (2020; Zbl 1459.14018)] and a preprint by the same authors). In this paper, the authors prove it for \(G = A_4, A_5\), or any finite group whose \(2\)-Sylow subgroups are cyclic. The ingredients in the proof are a combination of results in the literature (in particular from [\textit{K. H. Dovermann} et al., J. Reine Angew. Math. 448, 31--64 (1994; Zbl 0787.57016)]), blow-up techniques, and an analysis of subgroup lattices.
