Existence results for the quasilinear elliptic equation \[-\Delta w+V\left(\left| x\right|\right)w-w\left(\Delta w^2\right)=K(|x|)g(w)\quad\text{in }\mathbb{R}^N\] with singular or vanishing continuous radial potentials \(V(r)\), \(K(r)\) are obtained in this paper. It continues the study of earlier paper of authors [Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 220, Article ID 112816, 33 p. (2022; Zbl 1490.35157)]. The variational method and mountain pass theorem are applied. The main result is Theorem 4.1. The solutions satisfy a weak formulations of the above equation, but they are classical solutions. Five examples are given.
