Summary: We point out some equivalence between the results in [\textit{S. Sedghi} et al., Mat. Vesn. 64, No. 3, 258--266 (2012; Zbl 1289.54158)] and [\textit{M. A. Khamsi}, Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2010, Article ID 315398, 7 p. (2010; Zbl 1194.54065)]. Then, we introduce the notion of a general distance between three arbitrary points and study some of its properties. In the final section, some fixed point results are proposed.
