Let \(BW^s_p (K)\) be the unit ball in the Sobolev space \(W^s_p (K)\), \(1\leq p \leq \infty\), \(s\in \mathbb N\), where \(K\) is a peak, \[ K = \{ x= (x', x_d ) \in \mathbb R^d: \;|x'| < x^\sigma_d <1 \}, \qquad \sigma >1. \] The paper deals with estimates and equivalences of the Kolmogorov numbers \(d_n\) related to \(L_q (K)\) with the typical outcome \[ d_n \big( BW^s_p (K), L_q (K) \big) \sim n^{-\theta}, \qquad n \in \mathbb N, \] for some \(\theta >0\). Here, \(p,q \in [1,\infty]\) and \(s\) is suitably restricted.
