It is well-known that (suitably chosen) random terms can stabilize the behavior of evolutionary equations. This effect is illustrated by the means of two simple (both PDE- and ODE-like) examples. It is also observed that additional noise can improve the dissipativity of the system so that it possesses a (random) global attractor, which need not be true for the unperturbed (deterministic) problem. In this spirit, a general result on the existence of random attractors for reaction-diffusion PDEs is proven, assuming that a sufficiently large noise acts on the right-hand side. A certain generalization of the theory of random dynamical systems is developed to allow also for systems without uniqueness of solutions.
