The goal of this article is to study irreducible finite weight modules of twisted affine Lie superalgebras. The corresponding question for finite weight modules of untwisted affine Lie superalgebras has already been studied in [\textit{V. Futorny}, Lect. Notes Pure Appl. Math. 248, 163--172 (2006; Zbl 1106.17002)]. The irreducible finite weight modules of twisted affine Lie superalgebras can be divided in two types: hybrid modules and tight modules. This division is based on how real root vectors act on the module. The main result in this paper is the classification of hybrid irreducible finite weight modules by reducing it to the classification of cuspidal modules for finite dimensional cuspidal Lie superalgebras given in [\textit{I. Dimitrov} et al., Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 352, No. 6, 2857--2869 (2000; Zbl 0984.17006)]. The main ingredient in the proof is a careful study of root systems and how the root vectors act on modules. The article also contains an appendix on affine Lie superalgebras.
