The authors study the derivation identity of continuous linear operators on an ultraprime Banach algebra \(A\). They prove that, if \(S\), \(T\), \(ST\) are close to satisfy the derivation identity on \(A\), then either \(S\) or \(T\) approaches zero. Furthermore, if \([T(a),a]\) is near the center of \(A\) for each \(a\in A\) and \(T\) is close to satisfy the derivation identity, then either \(T\) approaches zero or \(A\) is nearly commutative. Moreover, the authors give quantitative estimates of these results.
