Verf. beweist mit einfacheren Hilfsmitteln - es werden nur noch wohlbe\-kannte Eigenschaften gewöhnlicher (\textit{Gauß}scher) hypergeometrischer Reihen benütz - erneut die früher von ihm gewonnene Formel (Quarterly Journ. (Oxford series) 4 (1933), 305-308; F. d. M. \(59_{\text I}\), 376-377) über die Darstellbarkeit des Produkts zweier \textit{Gauß}scher Reihen als \textit{Appell}sche Reihen in zwei Veränderlichen, falls \(\alpha =\alpha ^\prime,\beta =\beta ^\prime,\gamma +\gamma ^\prime =\alpha +\beta +1\).
