The trigonometric functions of the form \[ A_{n+1/2}(x)=\sum_{\nu=0}^{n}\Big(c_{\nu}\cos\Big(\nu +\frac{1}{2}\Big)x+d_{\nu}\sin\Big(\nu +\frac{1}{2}\Big)x\Big), \] where \(c_{\nu}, d_{\nu} \in \mathbb{R}, | c_{n}| +| d_{n}| \neq 0\), are called trigonometric polynomials of semi-integer degree \(n+1/2\). Orthogonal systems of trigonometric polynomials of semi-integer degree with respect to a given weight function \(w(x)\) on \([0,\,2\pi)\) have applications in construction of quadrature formulas with maximal trigonometric degree of exactness. In the paper under review, the authors consider such systems of trigonometric polynomials when the leading coefficients are \(c_{n}=1,\; d_{n}=0\) and \(c_{n}=0, \;d_{n}=1\). Orthogonal trigonometric polynomials of this type satisfy five-term recurrence relations. The authors present explicit formulas for five-term recurrence coefficients for some weight functions.
