For a \(C^{(1+r)}\)-diffeomorphism on a compact surface with positive topological entropy, the metric entropy of a hyperbolic ergodic measure can be approximated by the exponential growth rate of periodic measures. This paper generalizes the above result to the equality for the metric entropy of invariant measures.
