Let \(E\) be a complex Banach space, \(f\) belong to \(L^p((0,1),E)\), where \(1<p<\infty\), \(d_0\) and \(d_1\) be given elements of \(E\), \(\mathcal A\) and \(\mathcal H\) be closed linear operators in \(E\). Consider the second-order operational differential equation: \[ u'(x)+\mathcal Au(x)=f(x),\quad x\in (0,1) \] with boundary conditions \[ u(1)=d_1 \] and \[ u'(1)-\mathcal Hu(0)=d_0. \] The main purpose of this paper is to show the existence and uniqueness of the strict solution \(u\), i.e. the function \(u\) such that \[ u\in W^{2, p}((0,1); E)\cap L^p((0,1); D(\mathcal A)); u(0)\in D(\mathcal H) \] and that satisfies all conditions above. With additional conditions, among which \(E\) is a UMD space, the authors give an explicit representation of the strict solution, and hence are able to give its maximal regularity. At the end, two example are given to illustrate the result.
