A Coxeter group is a group with a presentation \[ \langle s_i: i\in I\mid(s_i)^2= 1\text{ for all }i\in I,\;(s_is_j)^{m(i, j)}= 1\text{ for all }(i,j)\in J\rangle, \] where \(J\) is some set of pairs \((i, j)\), with \(i< j\) elements of \(I\), and the \(m(i, j)\) are integers greater than 1. The group \(G\) is a right-angled Coxeter group if all the \(m(i, j)\) are 2. The following are corollaries of the authors' main theorem. If \(G\) is a finitely generated Coxeter group, then \(G\) has a subgroup of finite index that can be embedded into a right-angled Coxeter group. If \(G\) is a word-hyperbolic Coxeter group, then every quasiconvex subgroup of \(G\) is closed in the profinite topology on \(G\). The paper is largely geometric in character, the notion of a group action on a CAT(O) cube complex playing an important role.
