    The basic theory of the Funk, cosine and sine transforms on the limit sphere is extended on Stiefel and Grassmann manifolds. Section 1 contains history and motivation. Section 2 gives some preliminary results. In Section 3, the high rank Funk transform and its duel are defined and the connection between them and the familiar Radon transform is established. In Section 4, analytic families of non-normalized cosine and sine transforms for a pair of Stiefel manifolds are presented. Section 5 contains Fourier analysis of homogeneous extensions of cosine transforms. In Section 6, the author establishes several results for normalized versions of the cosine and sine transforms. Section 7 deals with pointwise meromorphic continuation of the cosine and sine transform of smooth functions, precise description of the corresponding polar sets, and a number of important pointwise equalities given earlier in Section 5 and Section 6. In Section 8, the author gives a new realization of the inverse sine and Funk transforms in terms of howers of the familiar Cayley-Laplace operator. These howers are associated with Riesz potentials. There is an appendix at the end. A.1 is on the paper by Gelfand et al., A.2 contains a useful integral. This celebrated paper contains an extensive list of 98 references.
