Three results are reported. 1) Error estimates for the interval \(0\leq t<\infty\) for difference approximations to the Cauchy problem for a linear hyperbolic dissipative in some sense system are given. 2) Error estimates for difference approximations to a linear hyperbolic conservative system with a local dissipation property are given. 3) The convergence of the Galerkin method approximation to the solution of a semilinear hyperbolic dissipative system for some type of initial boundary value problems is proved.
