It is shown that the best strong uniqueness constant for a suitably defined Chebyshev polynomial, \(T_ n(x)\), on the cube \([-1,1]^ r\) is \((2^ rn_ 1...n_ r-1)^{-1}\), where \(n=(n_ 1,...,n_ r)\). This generalizes the result of \textit{A. K. Cline} [J. Approximation Theory 8, 160-172 (1973; Zbl 0274.41022)] for the case \(r=1\).
