The link volume of a closed orientable 3-manifold \(M\) was introduced in [\textit{Y. Rieck} and \textit{Y. Yamashita}, Algebr. Geom. Topol. 13, No. 2, 927--958 (2013; Zbl 1275.57002)] in order to measure how efficiently \(M\) can be represented by a \(d\)-fold covering \(M \to S^3\) branched over a hyperbolic link \(L \subset S^3\). Namely, \(\text{LinkVol}(M)\) is defined as the infimum of \(d\,\text{Vol}(S^3 - L)\) over all such covering representations of \(M\). In the paper under review, the authors compute the link volume of an infinite family of Seifert fibered prism manifolds \(M_n\) that are double coverings of \(S^3\) branched over certain \(n\)-twisted Whitehead links \(L_n\), showing that \(\text{LinkVol}(M_n) = 2\,\text{Vol}(S^3 - L_0)\) for all but finitely many \(n\).
