On the structure of simple-semiabelian Lie algebras (Q790228): Difference between revisions

This paper is concerned with finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras G whose proper subalgebras are all abelian, and with their Lie algebras of derivations. For every linear functional f on G a corresponding alternating bilinear form \(B_ f:\quad(x,y)\to f([x,y]),\) is defined, and as usual \[ \text{rad}(B_ f) = \left\{ x\in G : B_ f(x,y) = 0 \forall y\in G \right\}. \] The index of \(G\) is defined to be the minimum of \(\dim \text{rad} (B_ f)\) over all \(f\). The last section of the paper is concerned with index one. The results of the paper are rather technical and will not be detailed here.
