The theory of frames is a natural generalisation of orthonormal bases and of Riesz bases; the concept closest to the orthonormal bases are the tight frames. In this paper tight frames are constructed from multivariate splines, box-spline in two dimensions in this event.Several examples are presented, referring especially to the two-dimensional case of the four-direction mesh.
