Recently, \textit{F. Hiai} and \textit{D. Petz} introduced in [Linear Algebra Appl. 430, No.~11--12, 3105--3130 (2009; Zbl 1163.53011)] two Riemannian metrics on positive definite matrices related to means. Based on this, the present paper extends the Hiai-Petz geometries to Finslerian metrics and discuss the induced entropies as their derivatives. The geodesics of these geometries are determined with a special view towards the case of Finsler metrics induced by Ky Fan \(k\)-norms.
