The authors prove that, if \(n\geq 2\) and \(d\geq 2\), there exists an open dense subset of the space of one-dimensional holomorphic foliations of degree \(d\) on \(\mathbb{C} P(n)\) consisting of foliations with no algebraic solution. The first and most involved step in this is showing that a certain explicitly defined foliation has no algebraic solution. The proof is then completed by genericity arguments, a local analysis and analytic continuation.
