A finite family of operators \(T_1,T_2,\dots ,T_m\), \(m\geq 2\), on a Fréchet space \(E\) is disjointly hypercyclic if there are \(x\in E\) such that \(\{ ( T_1^nx, \dots ,T_m^nx) \mid n\geq 0\}\) is dense in \(E^m\). The author shows that for every separable infinite-dimensional Banach space \(E\), and for each \(m\geq 2\), there is a family of operators \(T_1,T_2,\dots ,T_m\) on \(E\) which is disjointly hypercyclic. If, moreover, the dual \(E^*\) is separable, then a family of operators \(T_1,T_2,\dots ,T_m\) can be constructed so that both \(T_1,T_2,\dots ,T_m\) and \(T^*_1,T^*_2,\dots ,T^*_m\) are disjointly hypercyclic. Independently, in [J.~Math.\ Anal.\ Appl.\ 67, No.\,2, 713--715 (2010; Zbl 1196.47006)], \textit{S.\,Shkarin} has given a short proof of these results.
