The authors study summability of double sequences, here in particular the relation between statistical convergence, statistical convergence of certain weighted means and convergence of double sequences themselves in the Pringsheim sense. The main results are Tauberian theorems providing a conclusion from convergence in the mean to convergence based on Schmidt's slow oscillation conditions.
