A Riemannian manifold is said to be a generalized recurrent manifold if the curvature tensor \(R\) of the Levi-Civita connection satisfies the condition \[ (\nabla_ X R)(Y,Z)W=A(X)R(Y,Z)W+B(X)\left[g(Z,W)Y-g(Y,W)Z\right] \] for some 1-form \(A\) and a non-zero 1-form \(B\). In this paper the authors construct some examples of such manifold with non-zero scalar curvature. They prove that a generalized recurrent Riemannian manifold with constant scalar curvature is Ricci semi-symmetric. Moreover, sufficient condition for a generalized recurrent manifold to be a special quasi-Einstein manifold is obtained.
