The authors study decision making under uncertainty. They develop a model for decision problems where the decision maker has to choose one from a finite set of alternatives and the merit of each alternative is not fully known. In other words, associates with each alternative, there is a noisy signal that the decision maker observes before making the choice. The authors propose conditions for decision rules under different assumptions.
