The paper is devoted to the study of sense-preserving ACL homeomorphisms \(\omega:D\rightarrow G\), \(D, G\subset {\mathbb C}\), satisfying the inequality \(|\nabla \omega|^2\leq K J_{\omega}+K^{\,\prime}\), where \(K\) and \(K^{\,\prime}\) are constants and \(J_{\omega}\) is a Jacobian of \(\omega\). It is proved that the harmonic mappings \(\omega:U\rightarrow \Omega\) of such type have a continuous extension to the closed unit disk \(\overline{U}\) whenever \(\Omega:=f(U)\) is a Jordan domain with the boundary of the class \(C^2\). Moreover, in this case \(\omega\) is Lipschitz continuous on \(U\). Under some additional condition the inequality \(|f^{\,\prime}(t)|\leq L\) holds for almost every \(t\in [0, 2\pi]\), where \(f\) denotes the continuous extension of \(\omega\) to \(\partial U\) and the constant \(L\) depends only on \(K\), \(K^{\,\prime}\) and \(\partial \Omega\).
