Recently, a lot of progress has been made in the potential theory of stable processes and related Lévy processes. This book is a collection of surveys on some of these recent results made into a book form. This book should be very useful for researchers and graduate students to read the recent progress in the potential theory of stable processes and their generalizations. Chapters 2 and 3 of this book are on the boundary potential theory of stable processes. In Chapter 2, the authors discuss the boundary Harnack principle, 3G theorem, Schrödinger-type perturbations of the fractional Laplacian and the conditional gauge theorem. In Chapter 2, the authors present the relative Fatou theorem for harmonic functions of stable and relativistic stable processes. Chapter 4 concentrates on the spectral theory of stable and related processes. The main results of Chapter 4 are intrinsic ultracontractivity, connection to the Steklov problem, eigenvalue estimates, isoperimetric inequalities and estimates on the spectral gaps. Chapter 5 is devoted to the potential theory of subordinate Brownian motions. In the first section of this chapter, the authors first introduce the concepts of special and complete subordinators, give a list of examples of complete subordinators and then present some results on the asymptotic behavior of the potential and Lévy densities of subordinators. In Section 2 of this chapter, the authors introduce the concept of Brownian motions and present some asymptotic results on the Green functions and Lévy densities of subordinate Brownian motions. Results of Section 5.2 are used Section 5.3 to prove Harnack inequalities for the harmonic functions of subordinate Brownian motions. In the last section of Chapter 5, the authors present the potential theory of subordinate killed Brownian motions in bounded Lipschitz domains. The book contains more than 150 references.
