The article under review deals with nonlinear operator (in particular, integral) equations whose right hand sides include mappings of higher order. Really, the mappings of higher order are mappings with the zero strong (due to A.\,Cartan) derivative at zero point, and thus, all basic properties of such operators are the usual theorems about differentiable operators. From this point of view, in the main part of the article, there are presented some theorems about the differentiability of the superposition operator and Hammerstein operator in the space of functions of bounded variation in the sense of Jordan or in Young. Further, the authors present some modification of Lovelady's fixed point theorem (in the classical and non-Archimedean settings) and apply the obtained results to Hammerstein and Hammerstein-like integral equations.
