The paper deals with the semilinear Robin problem \[ \begin{cases} -\Delta u(z)+\xi(z)u(z)=f(z,u(z)) & \text{in } \Omega,\\ \frac{\partial u}{\partial n}+\beta(z)u=0 & \text{on } \partial\Omega, \end{cases} \] where \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^N\) is a bounded domain with \(C^2\)-smooth boundary and \(n\) stands for the unit outward normal to \(\partial\Omega\). The potential function \(\xi\in L^s(\Omega)\) with \(s>N\) is sign changing, while the nonlinearity \(f(z,x)\) is given by a Carathéodory function which is one-sided Lipschitz continuous and odd with respect to \(x\) for almost all \(z\in\Omega.\) Employing a version of the symmetric mountain pass theorem due to \textit{A. Qian} and \textit{S. Li} [Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 57, No. 4, 615--632 (2004; Zbl 1094.35053)], the authors show the existence of a sequence of distinct nodal (that is, sign changing) solutions with energies diverging to \(+\infty\).
