Let \(\mathbb F\) be a field of two elements. The author studies finiteness properties in the category of functors: (finite dimensional vector spaces over \(\mathbb F\)) \(\rightarrow\) (all vector spaces over \(\mathbb F\)). The main result is on the Artinian properties of subfunctors of the functor \(\overline I \otimes \Lambda^n\) where \(\Lambda^n\) is the \(n\)-th external power and \(\overline I\) is defined from the universal injective functor \(I\) by decomposition \(I = \mathbb F \oplus \overline I\). The results have some interest for algebraic topology because of the connections with a category of modules over the Steenrod algebra.
