The paper is devoted to the monotonicity and stability for quasi-monotone reaction-diffusion systems with delay and subject to Dirichlet boundary conditions. The system has the form \(\partial u/\partial t=D\triangle u+f(x,u_t(x))\), \(x\in \Omega \), \(t>0\), \(\mathcal B\)\(u=0\), \(x\in\partial \Omega \), \(t>0\), \(u_0(x)=\varphi (x,.)\), \(x\in \Omega \), where \(\Omega \) is a bounded region in \(\mathbb{R}^N\) with smooth boundary \(\partial \Omega \). \(\triangle \) is the Laplacian operator on \(\Omega \), \(D= \text{diag} (d_1,d_2,\dots ,d_m)\) with \(d_i>0\) for \(i=1,2,\dots ,m\) and for all \(x\in \Omega \), \(u_t(x)=(u_t^1(x),u_t^2(x),\dots ,u_t^m(x))\) denotes the continuous function defined from \([-r,0]\) \((r>0)\) into \(\mathbb{R}^m\) as \(u_t(x)(\theta)=u(x,t+\theta)\), \(-r\leq \theta \leq 0\). The functions \(f\) and \(\varphi \) are assumed to be continuous. The boundary condition \(\mathcal B\)\(u=0\) is either of Neumann type or Dirichlet type. Some invariance and comparison results for retarded functional differential equations with nondense domain operators are obtained. This allows to be shown that the monotonicity of the semiflow in a suitable phase space. A stability criterion independent of the delay is discussed as well.
