The ideal of \((p,q)\)-compact operators is denoted by \(\mathfrak{K}_{p,q}\) and its injective hull and its surjective hull by \(\mathfrak{K}_{p,q}^{inj}\) and \(\mathfrak{K}_{p,q}^{sur}\), respectively (for \(p,q\in [ 1,+\infty ]\) with \(\frac{1}{p}+\frac{1}{q}\geq 1\)). In the present paper, one finds a detailed study of \(\mathfrak{K}_{p,q}^{inj}\) and \(\mathfrak{K}_{p,q}^{sur}\). Section~3 is devoted to obtaining a rich factorization theory for these two classes. In the subsequent section, the author studies the approximation properties of \(\mathfrak{K}_{p,q}^{inj}\) and \(\mathfrak{K}_{p,q}^{sur}.\) Finally, in Section~5, the dual spaces of the spaces \((\mathfrak{K}_{p,q}^{inj}(X,Y),\Vert \cdot \Vert_{\mathfrak{K}_{p,q}^{inj}}) \) and \(( \mathfrak{K}_{p,q}^{sur}(X,Y),\Vert \cdot \Vert _{\mathfrak{K}_{p,q}^{sur}}) \) are found under some specific approximation properties.
