Causal particle detectors and topology (Q2503380): Difference between revisions

In the paper under review particle detector models in topologically non-trivial fields are investigated. At first, the recently proposed regularization procedure for the positive frequency Wightman function is extended to Minkowski space of arbitrary dimension and to further important situations. Secondly, detector responces on certain topologically non-trivial spacetimes are presented, with the aim of claryfying the effect of the non-trivial topology on the Unruh and Hawking effects.
