    Let \(\frac{1}{2} <\sigma <1,\; \; T>0\), and let \(N(\sigma ,T)\) be the number of nontrivial zeros \(\rho =\beta +i\gamma \) of the Riemann zeta function \(\zeta (s)\) such that \(\sigma <\beta <1\) and \(0<\gamma <T\). The authors provide a nontrivial explicit upper bound for \(N(\sigma ,T)\) improving several currently known results.
