An extrapolation method is used for the numerical solution of the Cauchy problem of a system of autonomous differential equations of \(s\)-order without a transformation to a system of the first order. The numerical solution \(y(x,h)\) has a \(h^ 2\)-expansion, i.e. \(y(x,h) \sim y(x) + e_ 1(x)h^ 2\) \(+ e_ 2(x)h^ 4 + \dots\) where \(y\) is the exact solution and \(h\) is the mesh size parameter.
