Let \(S\) denote the class of all univalent functions \(f:f(z)= z+\sum^\infty_{n=2} a_nz^n\) analytic in the unit disc \(E\). A function \(f\in S\) is in the class \(ST(\varphi)\) if \({zf'(z) \over f(z)}\) is subordinate to \(\varphi(z)\) for \(z\in E\) where \(\varphi(z)\) is an analytic function with positive real part on \(E\) with \(\varphi(0)=1\), \(\varphi'(0)>0\) which maps \(E\) onto a region starlike with respect to 1 and symmetric with respect to the real axis. Also \(f\in S\) is uniformly convex if, for every circular arc \(\gamma\) contained in \(E\) with center \(z_0\in E\), the image arc \(F(\gamma)\) is convex. A function \(f\in S\) is called strongly starlike of order \(\alpha(0< \alpha\leq 1)\) if \({zf'(z) \over f(z)}\) is subordinate to \([(1+z)/(1-z)^\alpha]\). In this paper the exact radius of convexity of order \(\beta\) for uniformly convex functions is obtained and the radius of starlikeness of order \(\beta\) of the class \(ST(\varphi)\) is computed. The radii of strong starlikeness of certain other classes, defined through subordination, are also computed. Some known results are obtained as special cases.
