The paper is concerned with the supersonic flow past a triangular plate with vertex angle near \(\pi\), under the assumption that the flow is a perturbation of the similar flow past a plate with the leading edge perpendicular to the oncoming flow. This helps to introduce a small parameter and linearize the original nonlinear problem of mixed type. The analysis of the paper is restricted to the subsonic region where the linearized problem is a degenerate elliptic problem. The author proves the solvability of this problem in weighted Sobolev spaces.
