The author considers the terminal value problem of the Riemann-Liouville fractional equation and its solution by the spectral collocation method. He converts the problem into the corresponding nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integral equation. Then, the Gauss quadrature formula is applied for discretizations. A convergence analysis is provided to show the spectral accuracy which depends on the regularity of the solution. Numerical experiments are done to confirm the convergence rate.
