Let \(Z^d_\delta\) be the lattice with spacing \(\delta\) in \(\mathbb{R}^d\). Let \(\sigma(x)=\sigma(x,\delta)\) be a spin configuration on a subset of \(Z^d_\delta\). Then \(\sigma\) is said harmonic in a domain \(N_\delta\subset Z_\delta^d\) if \(\sigma(x)= \lambda(x)\sum_\delta \sigma(x+ \delta)\), where \(\lambda\geq 1/2d\) and \(\delta\) is one of the \(2d\) vectors pointing in \(a^\pm\) coordinate direction and is of length \(\delta\). A De Giorgi theorem, stating that the harmonic functions (for certain discrete symmetric Laplacians) are equi-Hölder continuous, states \(\delta\to 0\). Applications for harmonic maps on \(Z^d_\delta\) with values in \(S^n\) are given. The Dirichlet problem for discrete harmonic maps are studied.
