The author considers a singularly perturbed quasilinear two-point boundary value problem and discretizes it using an upwind finite difference scheme on an adaptive mesh obtained using grid equidistribution of a monitor function. He derives sufficient conditions on the monitor function to guarantee uniform convergence in the discrete maximum norm independently of the perturbation parameter. Some simple numerical experiments are presented.
