Cet article bio-bibliographique porte sur l'identification de la première partie d'un traité d'arithmétique - al-Kāmil fī Sināat al-Adad - du mathématicien, du XIIème siècle vraisemblablement, al-Hassāt. On aura sans doute une meilleure idée du contenu de ce traité lorsque les auteurs achèveront l'établissement critique du texte et son commentaire. Il semble néanmoins, par l'évocation qu'ils donnent du contenu de cette partie du texte, que nous sommes là en présence d'un de ces nombreux traités d'enseignement d'arithmétique élémentaire.
