Linearization criteria for systems of two ordinary differential equations (ODEs) have been analyzed by algebraic and geometric approaches utilizing real symmetry analysis (RSA). The emergence of complex symmetry analysis (CSA) enabled the treatment of such systems via a base scalar ODE. Linearization criteria for systems were also developed using CSA. It is shown in this interesting work that there arise classes of linearizable systems of two ODEs by CSA and RSA which are not equivalent to each other under point transformation.
